“Ghummakkad Ghar”- Mobile home is an ongoing series that attempt to understand the concept of mobility and consumerism prevalent in today’s urban space.
I am very much interested in the concept of cities, how we occupy it and how they represent a collage of lives and destinies of their residents and visitors. It seeks the local amidst the global sensibility. This series in a way is a reflection of the human tendency of being in “shift” in terms of journey as a movement of transition from a known place to an unknown or from a local to an urban atmosphere on a broader scale. The project focuses on creating visuals through the frequent use of recycled objects, usually discarded by people, to focus on themes of home, the experience of being uprooted, mobility and migration.
